13 foot deep companion rescue
Not sure if this has been posted here before, but pretty incredible story.

TL/DR: 3 people caught in avalanche, one self-arrested, the other buried to her waist, and one buried 4m deep! All survived without injury.

check probe size, also make sure you got the upper body strength to shovel like a madperson.

glad they persevered with the "micro search" portion of the search
(i'm torn on whether the BD advertorial part of it is a little gauche, tho...seems pertinent to gear, but also a little beside the point given the unique burial situation...i guess it's a dramatic happy customer review?)

I’ve always wondered how many people just look for the colored section of the avalanche report and go on without reading it at all.
