    MPC #174: Red and White (12/10-1/15)

    The color red can be quite striking when contrasted with white. Let's see what kind of creative photos you can come up with for this.

    RULES:

    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 (or 6) photos to be voted on.
    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
    7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.
    8. And have fun.

    I like the idea and will be getting some images up soon. I just need to find a big chunk of red coral on the beach to get the shot I want.

    I am excited to try and shoot something for this. I just have to remind myself to use a shorter shutter speed than normal, cause red is the fastest color.

    Voting Thread is up!
    Lots of good entries rolling in over the last couple of days.

    Leo K, you were very close with your shot. If you would have been able to get a shot of the red train when it was closer you would have been in.
    Uglymoney, you were close too. Just needed a bit more color on the red gate vs the silhouette.

    Benny, although that is a very nice photo, submissions are closed for this round. The winner of the voting thread will start a new MPC this weekend or early next week.

    Edit: Stowe looks different than I remember in that photo.
