When a Vet makes a mistake the animal dies and a an awkward conversation with the owner settles it. When an engineer makes a mistake the issue has to be resolved and the mistake lived with for a long time.

Not that often for me, but it and the one where I look around and notice that I’m the only one not wearing clothes in class are regulars.

If it's not working out in the time domain, try the frequency domain. The reverse applies, too. In some instances, though, you're just fucked. Sorry.

I used to get those regularly but it's been a year. I would wake up really freaking out, worried that I'd failed a few classes and would fuck up my GPA. While teh pluses are too numerous to remember, college sure as shit had it's stress as well. Lotta coffee and Marlboro lights.

Oh and I'd druther be the monkee than the engineer

You mean I have been doing it wrong all these years. I spent all those years at Uni, and I could have just cut out meat?

Almost 20 years later and I have finally started doing the same when my subconscious decides to dredge up this dream. I'm too old for this shit waking up in a cold sweat thinking I forgot to go to a class for an entire semester that I signed up for.

Engineering schools make you demonstrate you understand this shit and after that you essentially never have to think about it as a working engineer.

P.S. I had that dream for years, but it's been a while now. I think I'm officially over the hump. Now I'll probably start having dreams that I'm retired and have run out of money or something...
