Hey Dongy....is it legal to fly a drone in the wilderness?
Let me lock in the system at Warp 2
Push it on into systematic overdrive
You know what to do

I always though Oregon’s wilderness areas are a joke. What’s the point in protecting a lifeless volcanic landscape where no one really goes anyhow? We need a big chunk of the Willamette Valley and other places that actually support substantial life.

Yup, no one goes to Mt Jeff or Three Sisters - too crowded

I moved to Eugene with one of my biggest reasons being that the 3 sister were so close. Then they closed the western access, without a pass. The pass cost money and was scarce. Gone are the days where I could walk outside and just decide to go climb up onto Middle Sister on the spur of the moment.
So I started driving to the Green Lakes area to do that. Now I am informed that this area will now receive the benefit of a similar paid reservation system. Good thing I'll be gone soon.

Desolate doesn't mean "not special".
Valuable wilderness doesn't have to look like a jungle. The alpine terrain on the cones is more special IMO, since it is rarer compared to other geo/climate types, and is prone to over-use which reduces it's value to the people.

Meadows stack heater is broken, and my new pro wrap is medieval in my left foot. I just discovered the number one benefit of having a camper at the mountain. Once the knife starts melting, should be good.

Yea I apologize for this. I really don’t have any idea where that came from. I had been up all night dealing with cops after a crazy crashed into our field and held up in a barn. Night before that I got little sleep as well. Obviously was not thinking right.😐

Top o' Hollywood 0901pst. Can you say "inversion" boys and girls?
Bonier than Thursday. Spent 90min dodging rocks and the backseat-riding-on-120mm waisted-full-rocker-skis-flapping-around-like limp-dicks-yahoos. The promised new snow didn't come in so I threw it in the fucketbucket.
Wednesday should be good if the storm comes in as predicted. Cameron tells me MtB's weather expert (whoever that is) sez it's gonna be better than 12-20" NOAA estimates. That would be nice. since most of the time NOAA overpredicts.
Propz to Toadman for hiking the cone to ski shallow crud.
