Weather report looks interesting for the weekend. Could be good one hour, and meh the next, and then good again? Or vice a versa...

Most of the rain has shifted to overnight and early morning. We'll be there both days regardless. Hit us up.

    18-19 Orygun, The Thread

Was snowing at MHM this afternoon

Slight layer of soft serve that skied well where the wind dropped it

Hope it rolls on all night for Fri mags

Greg Coulter made space in both pairs of boots for me. I need a few outings to dial my buckling in, but today’s testing was very positive. He’s a very positive, friendly, professional dude. He even stitched up my liners that had come undone in the previous bootfitter’s efforts. Stand up dude fer sure .

    The rainstorm descends.
    The Oregon thread goes silent.

The lonely mountain stands pondering its prospects.
Which will he court, the white or the wet?

Both shoulders of Wy’East bravely hunched, knowing colder days near.

Those, so many, living on the Passes weep.

    Powder for Anthony
    Wet are the rest.

Not too lonely. No rain and 30 degrees. It's currently (1:20pm) good skiing @ MHM.

TONIGHT will be a different story.

“To become a good skier like this, you first need to learn how to read the snow report. Don’t go to a ski resort at 5,000 feet when the snow level is 9,000 feet.” Warren Miller in Beyond the Edge
    from 1986.

My shitty poem didn’t make my rainy day mood any better, so I am watching Warren Miller. The above is a fitting Warrenism for today.

Good times for the opening of MLK weekend...

Vertigo-inducing Ski-by-Braille conditions in the top half of CloudCatcher drainage to start the day.

In a quest for viz, I got to Sky base immediately after two females exited their chair 50 yards after "loading". They landed right on the red catch pad under the haul line - Bullseye!

Chair didn't spin for 30 min while they immobilized and skidded one away in a toboggan. By then the ceiling dropped again as the front moved in.

Looks like tomorrow provides a shitshow of thick crusty glop...

Got out for an all day tour on the east side of 35 today, opposite Hood. Holy sheeeeittt the snow was good above 5k. Great morning of ankle deep settled pow. Snow started puking around 130/2. Filled up our skin tracks each lap, and had an all time slide down for the last run... until we hit 4800 ft and it was raining.

Dude, do you not have a job? You seem to be free to ski every day. I am curios and jealous...

Work from home, 4am-12pm. Ski afternoons mostly. Throw in extra hours here and there to cover days off.

Was thinking about getting to Hoodoo today and/or Bachelor tomorrow or Monday. This morning looks like rain but turning back to snow tonight. Bachelor worth it tomorrow?
