Not too many folks out on the mountain today.

Had a nice mellow day skiing different lines off the summit. Good day to be out and about.

Skier numbers have been holding steady, it has to do with the weather and how many upper lifts are open. When all 3 lots are full, and all chairs are running there's not really any long lines anywhere, except p[possibly Heather.

If the Gold Pass is is $3k or under, I'd get one. Meadows has me by the balls for the best area on the mountain too

Is Bachelor cool with someone camping in an insulated canopy in a pickup bed or in their car? Or does it have to be some sort of official motorhome like at MHM. Saw the part about buying a $20 per night pass. Scheming as usual.

Good times were had at Timberline and Skibowl this afternoon. Had some awesome laps on the Mile and also throught the flow park off Norms. Was suprised at how great the bowl was hitting. Groom was very nice on cannon ball, radical and accelerator. Great fun to arc down with just a couple super fast turns and straight line it to the chair.

Last I checked, it had to be an “rv” of some sort

Best work around is to be someone’s “second vehicle”

    MHM report

    VERY firm this morning

Chased an errant snowboard from the top of SSX all the way down to the bottom, no shit. Each time I thought it might hang up, it just kept going and going. Poor bastard hid in the trees until I brought it back up to him.

Burgers in the lot were tasty

Hoping the afternoon session is softer

No pics but it is sunny and not particularly crowded

I watched you following that board down from the lift. Thought to myself “that’s a good friend to be chasing that guys board”.

Twas firm in the AM. Tried to make an early summit push and then ski Newton Clark Headwall down into the resort, but the damn clouds kept the sun off the snow. Hard refrozen snow on top of sastrugi that wasn’t gonna corn up... need a few more weeks of melt/freeze to buff things out up high. We gave up around 10AM about 1k from the top, skied back down to Cascade and had a blast on the lifts.

Lame pics to show conditions below Wyeast Face:

I’m done with pow skiing and I am in full soft groomer, slush bump, and corn mode. That being I said wouldn’t complain about 8” of blower as long as it’s soft underneath

Great bowling today! Thought about doing the demo ski thing at Timberline but the road was closed. Oh well . I really wanted upper bowl zoomers anyways. Fast times

Bachelor did not disappoint today; bluebird, very little wind, not too warm. All 360 degrees of the mountain was in play; a bit of hiking yielded sweet rewards. I am spent.

Thank you. One of the better pics Tap has snapped of me. Fun to try the board for the first time, but I think I'll stick with skis.

I got my 50% pass refund today. I couldn't get any intel on Gold Pass pricing.
Depending on what the surgeon says on the 1st, I may be dumb enuf to make a weekend on flat groomers at Bachelor before I get cut up.
Any dates set for the BBI bachy mini?

Looking forward to it. what are our current numbers? Anyone have thoughts on tailgate planning? I am limited in my mobile cooking, but would be happy to make something night before to compliment. I am also good at bringing beer...

I will have my grill & will plan on bringing brats/buns for 10 for Sat lunch. I will have mustard & sliced onions/peppers to go with.
If someone wants to handle snackable stuff or sides that day...?

finally checking in here, spring break means i have a little breathing room from grad school, trying to keep up with twentysomethings is exhausting...
hoping to catch at least a day sliding on snow before back to the grind, spring corn laps desperately needed
if this mini needs a vino sponsor i might be able to crash the party and provide some libations

sidenote: hows the bowl holding up? outback coverage?
