Tuesday works for me! AC: I e still got your #, I'll hit you up when I get to town.

Fortress: I'll check the calendar and let you know about Feb.

I'm also seriously considering heading up to alpy 😎, if anyone else from Pdx is headed up.

Hey PDX peeps. Just moved back to town over the summer, and have picked up a couple of shifts at the downtown REI every week since otherwise I just “sit at home in the basement working all day” as my wife says.

This is a PSA to let you know that next weekend in their garage sale all of the summer rental gear is going up for sale on top of all the regular garage sale stuff (there are even some car top boxes and a tepui tent I think this time).

Mountaineering boots for $9, helmets for $4, backpacks (men women and kids) for $9, tents for $15, sleeping bags and pads for 10, even a handful of MSR stoves for $5.

It’s all old and some of it is pretty hammered, but some of the stuff is almost like new.

Starts 9 am Saturday and you have to be an REI member to get in. Could be a good way to stock up on stuff or outfit kids/teens for super cheap.

Stoked to be back in town. Hope to see some of you on the hill or at a movie premier soon

Mt. Angel Oktoberfest starts Thursday. Stop by the bandstand and ask for change if you are around. I'm in the Marion County Citizens Band trombone section. https://www.oktoberfest.org/entertai...ues/bandstand/

I hit up mt hood today and got a few good laps on fast corn over a firm base. Sun cups were manageable. Started skinning 100'vert above the Palmer mid-station. On the final lap I Skied to within 100'vert of the bottom terminal of the Palmer lift (there is a drainage with skiable snow, it only requires one boot-portage for 100-200'vert around the halfway point of Palmer). Best lap was at 11:30. I'm guessing if I took another it would have become schmoo.

Upper White river was... Spicy this time of year

I'm not sure how to add photos on the mobile website. I'll try to add them next time I'm in front of a computer.

4 day packs and kids season pass at Bachelor purchased. (3 of 5 for xmas to follow when they go on "sale")

Bindings mounted on new skis this weekend.

First look at the webcam complete.

Stoked for winter!!! I know I've been earlier in my youth, but stoke levels seem high for Mid-Sept...

It looks like Adams got a pretty liberal coating from the past few days precip. It has been exceptionally bony up there over the past few months.

Drinking beer with ski boots on is 75% of the way there to actually skiing.

starting to hear forecasts of frost in the valley and snow in the mountains...ullr, love your work...looking forward to seeing it again soon!

went up to see the progress on the south lodge at MHM...I heard there that the planned replacement for Blue is a 6pack (!). Timing wise, it sounds like it won't happen until after this south lodge work gets done. Long range planning also involves expanded mazot & a food service/potties at the top of stadium, eventually. (so years from now, but discussions have been started)
