Plenty of blue ice yesterday, but only in certain areas. Today will be far worse based on my night in the parking lot. Sleety ice pellets at first, then straight up rain. Who knows though... Maybe it's good higher up and I'm just being a pessimistic douche. Either way, forecasters have something on their face. Maybe egg? It's definitely not 10 inches of snow.

Making me feel better! FOMO is real - flying out today for a work trip through Thursday. Ski ya next weekend when the blue ice is gone and covered with a few feet of dry blower.

Well, I just went for a walkabout, and will revise my pessimism slightly. Based on corners of vehicles and embankments with lots of wind-load, I could envision drier stashes up high for those who know where a heavy West wind leaves the goods. Snow down low is definitely maritime though. The stuff that was just falling was that hard little snow pellet bullshit that I don't know the name of. Seems like some blower mixed in. Very inconsistent. Half of the snow on my windshield brushed away effortlessly. Half was manky, and the third half was frozen slush. That's 150% "something."

    Yes! Thank you.

Stuff that's falling now looks pretty good. Finally can't hear it hitting the camper, but it could be drowned out by the sizzle of hash browns.

Decepti-pow at MHM. Dust on crust everywhere. Sleeping in would have been the right call. Afternoon might be good.

Lonely chair ride this morning, No complaints though.

Even an afternoon cardio session was so good, I needed more, and went back for 2nds.

Indeed; lots of first tracks, it just kept getting better. Cone lap at 2:30 was icing on the cake. Tomorrow should be sweet, but I gotta work.

    18-19 Orygun, The Thread

    Nice one steep!
I figured when I saw the frost this morning in Eugene, after yesterday’s hard and cold rain that today would be awesome at the Doo.

Speaking of Tele, anyone got any old 26.5 or 27 soft flex tele boots that would work well for a waxless touring setup? Once my girl is old enough I wanna get some Vector BC’s or if I can’t find any, then BC125s for tromping around with the baby on my back. Right now all I have are 110 flex 9.5 lbs freeride AT boots ...

Oh yeah, obligatory 5 day old stoke ... she’s got huge feet and super strong legs and neck, future ripper!
