Jonsey likes skiing in the rain and whiteout conditions on carving skis, and his coffee breaks finish up with beer. Good by me, wish they still made folks like that.

Had plans to ski off Cooper Spur from MHM, traversing across Superbowl and the NC glacier today. Got started at 430, started skinning a couple hundred yards up from the MHM lot. Great snow conditions, but you need an early start to avoid rockfall.
Had to bail on plan A, despite the good snow - we stopped at 9.5k to put on crampons for the last pitch up CS, and my buddy decided to let one of his skis go flying down the glacier. He made an impressive dive trying to catch it, but didn't quite get there in time. We watched it go over a roller and into the oblivion. I skied down maybe 500ft below us and it was miraculously stuck on the edge of a massive crevasse. Gaper of the year award for him! Ah well, we still had 3k vert of excellent spring skiing back down. The last 1k to the parking lot was fun, but suncups are getting big down low.
Alec looking over the roller trying to find his ski. I'm heckling him and laughing hysterically, wish there was audio.
The walk of shame back to his only ski
One ski is better than no ski I guess
Holy shit I found the ski!
Watching the sketchy ski retrieval from a distance. Apparently it was on the lip of a 30 ft deep crevasse
Saying goodbye to the original goal for the day...

Snow exceeded all expectations. Stayed surfy and crisp without the least bit of grab. ON3P employees out in droves.
As soon as palmer opened it was on no speed limit mellow angle skiing with fun windlip features.
