I will be enjoying the end of Saturnalia today by making early turns at a mediocre resort. Snow on the ground here too - makes me think of my dad singing “I’m dreaming of a white mistress” this time of year...

    Happy Holidays!

K2, Glad to see somebody here got in on the action! Somebody’s gotta do it... How was the snow? Creek crossings smooth back to the lift?

Anyone coming to Bend from Truckee in the next couple of weeks?

If you could bring up a pair of my skis I'd make sure you are well hydrated with the local brew. Plus, I'd be happy to take you out to the BC. It's been good all week! PM me for details. Thanks!

We traversed to Silver Bowl, then followed the edge of Heather Woods to the runout, didn't see the lower crossings. Chalky boot top wind effected breakable, meh (ahem, highly mediocre). The lift stopped for a few minutes, the line backed up to the traverse, and since it didn't open until 12:30ish it was one a done, we had to bail at 1:00. Some dudes in line said the tree's were noice.

Yes it was. A little spicy at the Chandler and NWX roundabouts but the early morning crowd was pretty calm.

I don't normally watch the clock on weekends. I'm guessing by the sun's angle, it was about 10:30ish in the AM.

Hoodoo (Santiam area) has a bunch of fun mini-golf type stuff. Tombstone Pass about 2/3s of the way from Corvallis to Hoodoo also has fun stuff.

Congrats on getting some. Looks way less tracked out in the pic compared to what I saw from WV at about same time.

Anybody stay long enough to hit Summit?

Got my turns in first thing this morning and glad I did! On the way down the mountain, traffic was backed up all the way into Rhody (traffic backed up starting at Still Creek Rd) and went all the way up the hill thru Govy. T-Line didn’t close the lot, so it’s a shitshow and a half. On the plus side, Bowl is open now...

    18-19 Orygun, The Thread

(Thx MHSP...gonna go back thru HR)

While there are tracks here, I feel pretty good they only came in ones and twos. Alone in this bowl after lunch with knee deep turns and no one to compete with!
