Hah, nah man, props to those guys. They deserve a few beers, not a golden shower! One of the dudes who climbed up our tower was freaking out. He got the rope stuck in the pulleys and had to climb out to fix it. Didn’t wanna go, took him a minute to commit. He slipped on the icy cross-beam while shimmying out to it. He was clipped in, so he wasn’t going very far on a fall, but still gotta be an oh shit moment.

Pretty good chance this was the first real evac for most of the trollers today. They usually practice evac on nice days with nobody around so being on show and ice build up is a different story.

Man. I was lined up for first chair on MHX at 7:50 and the lift and crew were in a sad shape all around. I ignored the recommendation to line up for Blue. And when it became apparent that MHX was not going to spin on time I pulled the ripcord and sessioned sleazy rider instead. Good choices were made all around.

I did get the opening of MHX and it was pretty nice. I just wish they would have adjusted or planned a little better today. But I'm willing to cut some slack because it's the beginning of the season, and the crews are fresh.

meh. he's clipped to the tower and it looks like his boots have walk mode.
what a messed up day, but was fun once MHX started spinning. blue lift has been there since meadows opened in '68

It was shralped to shit by 1030; kinda like the locusts that descend on MHM after some new snow. My legs are not yet ready to haul around a pair of GPOs.

    Nice shot tap.

Any of you derelicts participating in Dirksen Derby this weekend? I’m on the finish line timing crew so stop by and ask for change.
