18-19 Orygun, The Thread
I had planned on doing an Avy 1 w/ my kid (which is why I got a notice today about signup timing), but my winter is seriously in question (or at least very much less ambitious) because of a recent unplanned surgery.
I figured the OR crew might be interested.

I like this direction:
While most of our improvement projects are focused on Sunrise this year, one of the exciting things we have planned for the West Village side is that we will be opening Red Chair at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and holiday periods this winter. This move is a nod to our committed local guests to give them a shot at first tracks before the crowds build up for the day

Are they gonna check ID at the lift maze to keep the touron riffraff off the locals’ early AM snow?

Could go either way. Line might be longer than they expect.

Hey guys, what's up? Long time no post. I missed you guys! I moved back to FL, and I had to remove myself from the sport entirely (no reading TGR, no watching ski vids, no thinking about deep powder, nada; zilch; cold turkey). I've made it through my adjustment period, and I'm excited to say that I watched my first ski video in more than a year, and my stoke is coming on strong. I'll be in PDX next week, and plan to head up to Hood on tues-wed, weather dependent. I'm also looking for anyone interested in a sisters backcountry trip sometime in February.
Hope all is well; I haven't read the thread yet, but I saw AC's shrimp/tenderloin, and it didn't look appetizing... Hope all is well there. Miss you Mags, hope to see you again soon!Last edited by FatKidFromFL; 09-05-2019 at 05:00 AM.

Do you have beer time while you’re here?

Abe: good to hear from you too, things are going well! (Although the skiing sucks here!)😂
AC: Yes. Beer time. Midweek will be best; we are camping next weekend and fly out Sunday night, so mon-tues or thurs? I'll be in NE close-in mon-tues, and milwaukie on wed-thurs.

Anybody up for the Portland stop of the new TGR flick on 9/27? There’s an early and late showing. Beers before, during, and/or after?
