Hey does anyone know offhand if the free and discounted buddy passes that come with a kid season pass at Meadows will get a grownup in?

Looks like we've made the turn. barely. Sure felt wintery up there though and I managed to ski thee days in a row for the first time in a few months now. Timberline had Pucci and Mollys chairs going yesterday and they were cranking their snow gun. Forecast looks good for them to stay open all through the week.

Holiday crowds are going to be picking up all month so be aware of the array of public transport options if you can't ski mid-week.

Yes, as long as it's not the under 7 one that's basically a pass printing fee ($30 or whatever it is)

Nothing like getting upside down early in the season. What a beautiful day. Looks like laps up high this week for anyone that can get out of work.

Old Rainbow lift line. Meet this kid skiing today. Reminded me of little sheldon. Asked him if he was going to be a good skier. Kid says straight face I already am. He was 4. What a pistol.

Made it up to Bachelor on Sunday. Coverage seemed decent, but that was my first time there so have nothing to compare it to. I caught a few rocks, but no major damage and that’s why they’re called rock skis, right

The cone was a little tracked up, but worth the boot pack, definitely should have been doing a lot more cardio. I will blame it on the elevation, but probably has more to do with the cheeseburger addiction.

Our guy is three and this will be his first winter on skis. Many have told me it’s too early but he loves the snow and especially sledding,

    Thoughts?

Woke up Sunday morning with 2 sleds on the trailer and left with zero. The snow and the line were epic though.Click image for larger version.

Fortunately I did the next day. Only took about 10 minutes to get someone and he didn't even want the beer

Depends on the kiddo. My youngest was so small that she was like a rag doll at 3, and same for most of 4. The days are short. We got down to business last spring just after her fifth birthday. Her first time out this year she was kicking ass. Made me stay till the lifts closed. She's still as distractible as a puppy, but the best option for fun is to just give in and indulge it.
