Yeah, it was a great day out there! The Clark side of Pea Gravel Ridge skied awesome, too. I just can't gawk enough at that massive avy runout.

The kids and I spent the last half of the day doing hot laps on Marmot Ridge.

There was also a crew of 6 parked next to me hanging out in minimal clothing. Unfortunately 4 of them were dudes and the chicks were wearing the most clothes out of the crew (which still wasnt much)

At lunch in the lot, we saw a guy change into an inflatable T-rex outfit next to us and then go terrorize people who were grilling. I assume they were people he knew, but I prefer to imagine they were strangers :-) He went behind a row of cars, but we occasionally saw the T-Rex head bobbing and juking above the cars - pretty funny to see, I love the parking lot in the spring.

No pics from the parking lot - I made a gay orgy joke that didnít go over well and figured asking for pics after that was socially inappropriate.

Saw the Howitzer getting towed through the lot this AM:

A week ago... A friend was out there last Friday, said it was skinnable from the car but sticky mush coming back. Probably melted out quite a bit since then.

Interesting morning! Mhx was the only lift spinning, mid-Atlantic style bulletproof on the groom. Crazy winds with off and on snow. Beers with Detuned at the base after 2 laps was the best call of the day.

Give it a bit to soften up if youíre planning on skiing tomorrow, but itís gonna be really good...

Took all the kids to Timberline today. Didn't spot check the weather at all during the week. It was a bone chilling sort of humid cold today, but not soak-through-your-clothes wet. The snow was coming down pretty much non stop. Off piste was treacherous refrozen slush brutality, but the groom was actually pretty nice. We were there for the Palmer opening but, with the wind and vis, that didn't happen. They put the Magic Mile chairs away, unridden, about halfway through the day. Pretty good day, though, for what it was. Fun was had.

What a difference a day makes. Friday I was up at Timberline and although it was a little windy the sun was out and everyone was getting in the summer spirit. I put on shorts and walked the dog when I got home.
Saturday I got reminded about wind chill. I didn't wear my winter base layers and it was winter weather with mid- 20s temps and whipping wind and snow. Wind chill to the bone.
Sunday back up on Palmer and cooked snow at the bottom for the last day of Jeff Flood.
Today I'm back in the office working and high winds closed the upper mountain. Just heard from a friend that's been riding Normans all day.
Tomorrows forecast calls for calm <10mph winds. I guess we will find out tomorrow. (:
