Isn't like kind of like trying to determine who invented the backpack?
... jfost is really ignorant, he often just needs simple facts laid out for him...

Well I believe he was the only one I ever saw with something like this system. Just wondering really. I don't think freeride systems even makes them anymore.

You may well be right, but thinking this is one of those ideas that would be extremely hard to protect... like socks or toilet paper or a toaster.

Kinda what I was wondering. I recall this idea being one of his first forays into sewing then it bloomed from there. Was shocked when it popped on my FB feed somehow and it wasn't a link to his shit.

I doubt Micol got a patent on it though.

I still have the lifelink strap thingy that carries a shovel and probe. That probably had a patent.

you've got to be kidding me.

does Cody have patent on his belts?

There are some things that you just have to make better than somebody else, and let the market sort it out. Like socks, and toasters, and toilet paper, and also backpacks

Contact area code is Bronx fwiw
    I'm all about intellectual property.
If Mike did get patent then I hope he gets royalties. Frequently it's hard for people to get one, which was the context of my million dollar idea thread.

not only that, but then you have to put up $$$ to enforce it.

Do you know how patents work? They don't last forever. Toilet paper, socks, and toasters all had patents at one point.

But yeah, I really doubt Micol would have taken the time and money to patent his carry system. Many small companies don't.

Well I'm glad you're not really getting ripped off, and I think onto bigger and better things anyway.

You have taken it to the next level but the concept has been around for while. Not like the one in question but Indigo had something that worked well but wasn't pocket friendly.

So like you mean not the same? The pocket portion was the main feature far as I can tell.

I'm sure you make a great carrier, my comments were more about the arguing about different carriers and the patent stupidity. It's not a novel idea not matter how great the materials and construction are.
