Let me know if the loti deal falls through (or if any of you want to offload your 192 or 202cm pures).

194 heavy core Quixote is every bit as manly a ski as the supergoats.

A week ago I would of jumped on them, but in the past week I got a pair of stock Qs from Praxis, Beatlejuese’s heavy veneer MVPs and Protests.

Glad you got those MVPs. I had ‘dibs’ but that was assuming he would ski those a few years. I think you’re going to love them, I have a stock 193 set.

Now someone needs to buy these Qs!

Bump can’t believe these haven’t sold - I’m happy to look at offers as long as they aren’t trades

I made a spread sheet. Expect lots of notes when I purge myself of 10 pairs of skis over the winter.

I can say the Kastle MX 98s, 196 Protests and 203 Shiros won’t be for sale. I’ll probably keep either the OG 95s or QST 99s. I’ll probably keep the Peacemakers, my goal is to learn to do a 360 and they seem like a perfect ski for that. Probably keep one of the skis listed between the Freerides and Rangers, and one of the big mountain skis.

Spoons may not even get drilled, just can’t justify what it will cost when I have (and know I like) the Protests. Even if I go to Japan, I’m not sure the Spoons will make the cut for that trip. If the Spoons come I think I’ll have to take a second ski, when I can probably take just one ski if I take the Protests. I’ll probably still take a sub 116mm ski though, because if I don’t I’ll wish I had.

I think the quiver will end up like this:

    Blizzard GS skis
    MX98s
    0G 95s or QST 99 - touring
    186 Peacemaker
    Cochise, Freerides or MVPs
    185 or 193 Cochise - touring
    202 Rangers
Super Freerides, 193 Shiros, or Quixote’s
    203 Shiros
    196 Protests

That’s 9 slots. The 193 Scouts might get moved to be a side country ski with an alpine binding (if the Cochise, Freerides and MVPs don’t work) and leave me with no wide touring skis. We will see what happens. Decisions, decisions, decisions, 3 weeks left at work then time to get skiing. This is turning into a Beatle size quiver, pre-sell off of course. I’d like to get down to 5 pairs total, I’d just have to part with the GS skis, 202 Rangers, Peacemakers Or 203 Shiros, and I don’t want to, or I’d have to get more versatile skis.

TLDR: this is why I haven’t bought the Qs in the thread

Don’t keep a ski to learn 360’s on. Any ski other than the GS ski, Ranger, Shiro or Protest will be fine. They’re easy.

Actually scratch that. Best thing in the world to learn 360’s on are 194 heavy core Quixote’s. It’s been scientifically proven

There is a pair of 192 Lotus 138's at Tahoe Sports Hub right now if anyone is still looking and has a buddy in Tahoe. Sorry don't remember the price of them, but I feel like it was pretty reasonable if not a good deal.
TLDR; Ski faster. Quit breathing. Don't crash.
