I’m searching for used wheels that will fit on my vehicles, I’m trying to figure out what other vehicle wheels will work for my cars, eg, supposedly, tundra and land cruiser. Over the weekend, I found a set on CL that were 2mm difference in offset, which lead me to ask up thread. I was surprised of the very slight difference because it was matrix vs Corolla, same gens, i think, and the matrix is supposedly known as the “Corolla Matrix” in some areas.
Tundra and Sequoia share the lug pattern but not with any other vehicle, afaik.

Apparently, only some/most tundras are 5x150, which is same as 100-series cruisers. But, I thought tundras had 16’s as an option...?

100 and 200 series are the same pattern as well.

80 series and older Cruisers are 6 lug. 1st gen Tundras are also 6lug

I have a suspicion that if I change my tires I will increase throughput. My Ford's engine power is enough, but often skidding in the mud. My friend advised me to put the chains on wheels, does that make sense?

Yes it does, make sure to chain all four wheels.

if you your work is driving then you clock the big numbers, I now remember a guy who drove the bankers dispatch carrying just some paper files every day from PG to Valemont, a 600 km round trip every day with no stop lights, in pretty short time buddy had an 03 VW TDi with 650,000 kms on the clock

My problem has been torque at times. Modified my forester and I make over 300 at the wheels. With snow tires I can drift at times if it’s boosting. But it’s fun

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

That does sound fun. I'd just get in trouble with a car like that though.

    Thats over 4 years of driving. 600/day x 5 days = 3000/week x 50 weeks = 150,000/year

I miss my turbo wagon. No nannies not even traction control. Needed a 6 speed but the torque in 2nd and 3rd was addictive

i've still got a 2008 FXT 5MT, stock power with suspension and steering mods. it is an extremely fun canyon car, but with snow tires it's almost anticlimactic as it doesn't break free in the pow.

Right, it’s about a corolla with snow tires, therefore mocking suvs. Hense the title of the thread, your suv sucks. The last many posts have been about suvs.

the original post is so dumb. of course a car with snow tires is going to be better in the snow than a car with summer tires. I dont think anyone looking for 4x4 or awd for their winter car is thinking, man, I'm really just looking for the car I can drive through a blizzard in the mountains on summer tires.

    uhmm... literally everyone thinks that.

    (other than us, of course)

and it's because everything comes oem with all seasons (that are basically summers with better pr)

Speaking of summers with better PR - has anyone driven what appears to be 3pmsf certified tires with 4-season mileage warranties? These do not look like snow tires to me, and may be de-valuing the mark? Of course, if they perform like the marketing language suggests, they're snow tires you can drive for 60k at any temperature

    3PMSF passenger-car tires:

    Hankook Kinergy 4S (Canada only)
Michelin CrossClimate + (limited sizes available)

^^^ I started a thread on "all weather" tires, about the 3PMSF rated tires.
