1st time Alta opens before Bird or even Solitude

"I've been traveling to Utah to ski the season opener every November for about 40 years. Brighton almost always opens first. Sometimes Solitude. Once it was Snowbird. Alta is ALWAYS the last of the four Cottonwood Canyon resorts to open. Until today, Friday Nov 23rd. For the first time in those 40 years, maybe ever, Alta not only beat Snowbird to the opener, but beat Solitude as well! The skiing was great. Who knows, maybe it's a new progressive attitude up there now that Onno is gone.
By the way, this is going to be another sick season with 600+ inches in the Cottonwoods."
