Mammoth Lakes PD just hoisted R3 chain requirements in town. Rare.

Apparently my high school buddy with CHP in those parts put the call in to hoist it up.

My buddy took a tumble head first into a deep hole on 22. Couldn't breath and was thankful he was able to thrash his way out and tip over to free himself. Be careful as it is deep in spots.

Got 10th chair and last chair on 22. Total of 6 laps down AVI Chutes. Got 3rd or 4th line down Avi 1 as everyone was riding under chair at first. Great day!

Of course I found it. like I said I ski down and called it. Great news is what a difference a day makes. Sitting here drinking a beer at days end, I just can't say enough good things about the Lhasa Pows. Once I had a chance to get a few runs in on them and dial-in how they work, they absolutely crushed it. Most fun day of the season for me. Thanks Splat

Only bummer is the pow lasts about 30 minutes before becoming totally tracked out when they open something From my experience this Tuesday, I obviously need a lot more practice to feel comfortable in deep pow. So in trying to put together my game plan together for next season, where and when do I go for a month where the chances of scoring pow are good, the pow lasts for days rather than minutes and I can rent a place that allows two big dogs for $3k or less? Maybe the Snow Basin area? What do you guys think?
