Welcome to the 2018 & 2019 Mammoth Mountain thread. Below are numerous links to try and make your trip there an easy one.

There are flights into Mammoth with a free shuttle to many hotels. Just remember that it is windy during storms and there is a good chance your flight will not land or take off, so plan accordingly if you fly.

If this is your first trip to Mammoth, there is a free shuttle throughout most of the town that will take you to one of the 4 lift locations for the mountain.

Have a fantastic winter and pray for a HUGE season.

...and many of us ski Mammoth frequently even though we have to commute from far flung locations, and most will be happy to show mags around our little hill. It had a few quarks like the little breeze we sometimes experience, but it is a mixed blessing. and just means we have to shift to different aspects.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Like myself, you may be looking for a good place to eat without spending a bunch of money.
Below are some suggestions for you. I like to have Mex food at the Loco Frijole off Main. Breakfast at Good Earth Cafe and Thai food at All Thai'd Up (which didn't populate in the bottom cell). For lunch I like to have the tri tip sandwich at the Mill. Lots of great places to eat and drink at Mammoth and don't forget to go bowling while you are there.

And if you are traveling with people that want to do things other than ski, there is a lot to do. I have always wanted to go on the dog sled ride and apres ski at Mammoth Brewery is nice.

Ikon so I’m a local now. I have had a pass in the past with maybe 15 days total. Hoping for at least that many this year. Love Mammoth! Might be my favorite mountain.

If you want a little bit of luxury the Westin Monache in Mammoth Lakes is pretty awesome. Some deals there too. Free parking for guests.

I was going to post that I was looking forward to meeting with with you this year at Mammoth, but if you're a Westin Monache regular, you are too highbrow from my plebian tastes
