Will fly to SFO dec 16 and home on dec 29 and have some stuff I´m looking to sell. I´ll spend a few days in Sisters OR and skiing at Bachelor but that´s about all that´s planned so far.

Will travel alone so very happy if any of you´d let me tag along for some skiing.

I’d prefer not to split up at first but if I do I’ll be looking at getting $450 for the wrens.

Skinny Q is more fun as the shape would indicate, the core is actually heavy plus carbon so more rebound than the kastles. I found the Q shape to be completely intuitive and had no learning curve on either skinny or regular Q. The kastles are more damp than the Q.

Skis, Boots and bindings. Praxis, ON3P, Kästle, Down, Skevik, Atomic, Salomon

Thanks for quick reply. Helpful. For now I am going to continue to resist my illogical urge to add more overlap the herd.

Why did you and skinny Q part ways? Any reason to consider this ski if I already own Wren 108s?

Never tried Wren 108s, but I would believe those skis have quite different personalities.

I really liked that ski a lot- handles a variety of conditions well, very versatile. Good on firm and deeper stuff for the width. I was just expecting/wanting it to feel like ‘more ski’ than my 184 4frnt Dev I was replacing, and it felt more turny, I believe due to the pin tail which felt pretty extreme. I would have to pay attention in order not to ‘overturn’ them. So out of all my skis (184 PJs, 186 EHPs, 196 Rens, 194 devs and 193 MVPs) they stuck out for that reason, so rather than learn to adjust to them, I just replaced them. Best dust on crust ski I’ve ever used, tho the 184 Dev is right behind. I’m 5’7’’ 195-200. I traded them to my buddy back for the 184 Dev and he prefers the Q to the Dev. He’s 5’9’’ 160.

We’re both 295 BSL and you’re welcome to try any of these skis if that’s your BSL range.

^ very helpful. Thanks. I’ve experienced the overturn sensation with Wailer 99s. Nice and pivoty in the trees but tendency to cut the fall line in space. I gravitate to more directional skis so HP probably more my bag. Q sounds like a real fun ski for a smaller skier looking for a more playful rig. Shape struck me as more fitting for a wider ski so was more so just curious how it adapted to a skinny format.

Not overly demanding but stable though I honestly only skied them for one day so can’t really say too much about them. Seems well made, awesome graphic (imho) and nice looking shape and profile.

    I can comment on skeviks....
Fun ski that turns easy, holds an edge and feels nice and poppy. I don’t like a super damp ski , prefer something with some life in it. It handles the mixed resort mank and stuff you find on the boot track nicely.
