Amy Schumer is gross and not funny. It's like some weird government program where they manufactured a fanbase. There is no way anyone actually thinks she is hot or a talented comedienne.

Mark Twain is still funny. Dickens is like musical theatre funny. Move the joke to a different context and everyone just rolls their eyes.
You're reading Dickens for laughs? Wtf lol.

I've listened on and off since the 90s.. I get tired of some of the stuff, but his interviews are the best. I pay a little extra so I can use the new app to listen to those. The news with Robin is still great too.

I am going to throw in a nomination for James Franco. I think some folks regard him as some sort of multi-talented genius. Making stoner movies and sleeping through NYU journalism classes isn't my definition of sage, but maybe I'm a hater.

She may be overrated in that if she's considered the greatest living actor, you might disagree, you might think she's great but not that great. But come on man. The Deer Hunter is a great movie, Kramer vs. Kramer, Silkwood, Sophie's Choice.

His performance in The Deuce (first season anyway, I haven't started S2 yet) is pretty impressive. But, it does seem like he's a huge douche who should have been #metoo'ed out of his career by now.

Sleeping through NYU journalism classes? Wtf? You should go back and check his resume. Jesus, he's done more in his short career than any other actor at his fairly young age. And he's killing it in The Duece. Funny guy when he wants to be, too.

    That was my thought!

I nominate Neil Degrasse Tyson and his star vest. I appreciate the effort to promote science and astronomy, but there is such a thing as overexposure, dude.

Keanu Reeves as a dramatic actor yes.
Keanu Reeves as an action star? Not overrated at all. GOAT status

Tough call. The Edge is either an overrated guitar player or an underrated musical genius.

Sophie's Choice proves the point: melodrama calculated to push emotional/goy guilt buttons + emotive overacting, although the director is often to blame more than the actors for that.

Meryl Streep is quite obviously a greatly talented actor. The problem is that they too often throw her into difficult roles, have her take on foreign accents, etc., and the audience is expected to go "oooooh aaaaaah such wonderful acting!" which can eclipse the movie's plot and theme. The true test of great acting is when it is not noticed because it is preempted by the story, theme and direction, e.g., Martin Scorsese directing Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro in Raging Bull.

21 nominations and she won 3, has anyone mentioned in the last 3 pages won an academey award?

I would call her a very accomplished actress as oposed to a celeb

and we know nothing about her personal life
