I had ton stuff to do in Snowmass and tickets to Dave Mason tonight, do I skied the mass.
I don’t like the lineup out the gate at the VX. So I ski up @8:35 and skate up the singles line. Sams Nob had a slight delay, so I was only 20 chairs back from the fastest guys.
Everyone leaves the Nob at 9, when the other chairs open, but I stayed there and Campground, skiing untracked until 10:15.
Then I lapped Shear Bliss till 11:30 waiting for the Poma, but it never ran.

Our little election, may not be over.

Anyone see pictures of the Maroon Bowl slide that broke right at the fencing below the top of Loge today? Insanity!

I have not seen them on any sites. Can you post a link? or post the picture here?

My coworker got it in a text from someone, I'll try and see if I can get it from him.

I was up there this afternoon. My one ride on Loge was super windy and I didn’t look right. I’ve seen a few photos/videos, including Dav’s:

    Aspen/Snowmass 18-19 Season Thread.

Those people are in bounds on a run that’s open every day.

Yes, the people behind the fence are on an in-bounds cruiser, just below the top of the Loge lift. The slide Was not inbounds or on normal skiable terrain, but is next to some. Dav’s taking the photo from a small rise that then rolls into No Name run. The rope line on No Name forces skiers into the next natural “bowl” of terrain over from the slide path and there is some physical sepertation and a small ridge of sorts in between.

This slide is in the next bowl on the ridge down from Maroon Bowl which slid huge Thursday morning.

Snowmass is UNREAL right now. Logged some mileage in the air off everything off of Shear Bliss

Should be skiing in Aspen 3/11-3/13.
First time up was earlier in the season; good terrain.

Looks like the snow could be a bit better this time.

Enjoy, this is as good as it gets.
Hopefully it doesn’t get too warm Sunday.

Tickets still available to Moe, at the Belly Up.

Another 16” on this mornings report for Highlands and Snowmass, 13” at Ajax, and it’s still snowing pretty hard in town. Insane!
