Thread Consolidation: Flylow, Dynafit, OR, Volkl, Black Diamond

Trying to tidy up my GS mess. I am committed to moving these items. I feel the prices are pretty fair. If you disagree, voice it. If you have an offer, make it. Can't say I will be majorly flexible, but ya never know right?

Any thoughts on this flylow fit? I am like a 34” 31” with a boxy arse thigh frame.

Didn’t like the chemical pants fit. May have been the fabric but reinforced knees seemed to weight the fit oddly. Still use them in spring as they are thin but recalling they were L. Different location currently to confirm.

In general I struggle w short legs normal waist but wider mid section through rump and thighs.

I am a 32x32 and get complimented by my girlfriend regularly on my shapely ass and strong thighs- which means that despite a 32 waist I fill out 32 waist pants through the seat and legs quite well. I find that Flylow fits me great, wayyyy better than any Euro company where a 32 assumes that you possess zero ass or legs. The waist of a Flylow MD is a bit big on me- SM always fit me better- but the length wasn't right.

The length is just right. Maybe just a hair longer than ideal. But I have had Flylow pants in SM as well and they were definitely too short.

I have owned Chemical pants, Baker Bibs (on my 3rd pair of those now) and Compounds (on my 2nd pair of those). The Compound is wayyy lighter and more pliable than either of the other two. I know exactly what you mean about those Chemical pants and how reinforced the knees were compared with the rest of the pant. The Compound, designed as a touring optimized pant, does not have that extra reinforcement except on the bottom of the pant legs.

Really I like everything about them. Maybe I'd go a tiny bit less baggy for the occasional times I wear a harness and crampons, but that is almost an afterthought of a critique. I have one other pair relegated to back up duty. The first seam started to fail through the crotch after about 175 days of resort and touring (400k ft). Suffice it to say they are durable enough.

Thanks for the informed reply. I will likely recheck my Chemical sizing and fit again prior to pulling the trigger. Will be in touch once I sort that out - if they haven’t sold in the meantime.

Maybe you don’t spend enough time in the NSFW thread. There’s a lot of thicc ladies in there.

    Down to the pants only.

I really can't believe these haven't sold yet. I guess I see other Flylow gear (Bakers, Chemicals, Magnums) which are lightly used going for $150-$250 here. $250 shipped seems reasonable to me for spankin new eVent pants in a popular size. What am I missing?

No worries Dore. You are under no speed obligation. But I do want these out of my life already so I can wrap this thread.

For the record, no dibs has been called. These pants go to the first person who commits to buying them- which nobody has done so far. All respect to Doremite, I’d be stoked to sell to him but there are a lot of uncertainties there on his end.

Agreed. I will buy them once I confirm fit Friday night but if they sell in the meantime I get it. I will get back to you either way on Friday (fit yay nay) unless I see that you sold them in the meantime.
