    ski OR(egon) die - 18/19

I've got a new thread and 5 photos for you all.

Based on some friends experience on Friday 11/9/18, we decided it was time to ski again.

    Threw a giant daffy.

Little fun turns could be found ~top of Magic Mile, above that it was pretty hard although very skiable. Below that, I think we stayed too close to the lift, it seemed like there was better options skiers left 100m of the lift from what I heard/saw later. Apparently the turns on Friday were better than ours but whatever, hello ski season. Forecast looks less than stellar, get out before Thursday or hope the precip turns from drops to flakes.

    Hard & crusty?
At least it’s clear & sunny

Snow level to 12k tomorrow; down to 6500 W & Th; then back up to 11k

Looks a little better than it did at this point last year from what I remember. Hoping to take a long weekend and ski off the summit this spring.

I didn't get out until December. Disappear by that point?

Some years you get it early, and some you get it later.

True. As long as it comes. I always get anxious this time of year and talk myself into the idea the it's going to be a low tide year. Luckily I'm almost always wrong, but I'm feeling the panic as I type this.

We hit some ice down low on the mountain bike ride in hood river today. That’s gotta be a good sign.

Hard to get stoked, yet, when this is one of the driest and warmest beginnings to a season in a long long time.

Skiable from above the Fin in White River. St Helens had much better coverage above ~6500 on the worm flows side.

    Touring rig eh?
Those Corvus have the same turn radius as my wrens
I like the length - 193.1cm - have you verified?

Slighter shorter than my 196 cd114’s...close enough for ski work
I’m getting itchy to put bases on snow, tour or resort

Snowing here in VA as I'm loading up the moving truck. Getting to OR soon... not concerned about the lack of snowfall to date because I'm bringing new weather patterns and snow with me!
