Used to scotchgard them and wear gaiters back in the eighties. I’ll look for the photographic proof. I had hair back then.

Water, water everywhere so let's all have a drink.

Morning laps in the 'yakyard exceeded expectations. Current conditions have changed my mind about going back out for the afternoon...

Just like the forecast: weird. 21° and raining then as we skied changed to about 35° and pouring.

Today on Delancey Ridge. Folks coming back from the hairpin today reported on the temperature swing as well.

This reminded me that we used to have to take a rope tow to get to the seventh heaven chair. And there was a lodge up there above barrier bowl.

Maybe I don't remember it right but I'd thought of it more as a shack. Only went in there once.

Pretty much a shack. I think they served chili though. I think it was gone either the same year or the year before they put in the hogs back chair.

Never rode it but they also had a helicopter that would allow you to ski the back side back then.

just a few minutes after 7. i’m not sure what went down but the mountain road was standstill when i got there about 9. i loaded into F and saw cars routed beyond it a bit later so maybe a spill up ahead; not sure what the norm is up there. hey, i’ll take the bottle neck there over the chair lift.

had a ton of fun making open uncontrolled turns off 6 today, love the fall line while it’s there.

Crystal was really good today. It was also packed. Trail of cars from Silver Springs Campground to the Base Area, going ~8 mph. Managed to get a spot in Lot F. It looked as though the line for the shuttle was super long, so we decided to walk up, possibly not worth it. It felt pretty good when we skied down to Lot F alongside CM Boulevard in a blizzard with traffic at a standstill to our right.
