We use the chair, and hike a bit, no shifts required. Lift ticket is helpful though.

Should I take their "1-Day Intro To Ski Touring" course at Crustal first, or should I instead take their "AIARE Avalanche Course Level 1" at Snoqualmie first?
I recommend Cascade powder guides yurt based level 1. It has a lot of touring mixed in with the class and staying up at the yurt was pretty cool!!!

The first big weekend of ski school seems like a great time for a mixer @ the uphill dog park TH

Had the Goat show going at Stevens today with Junior. The rain crust was buried down there and gave frequent reminders of its existence, but crowds were light, snow was light and fairly deep, and fresh lines were all over when we left a little after 3 pm. Pretty nice day...oh yeah, we saw blue sky in the afternoon.

I bet! I almost made the drive but didn’t want another “the snow is awesome but I cannot see where the heck I am going” Baker day.

Glad someone cashed in on those goods!

My dad got his camper "stuck" in the parking lot last night and scored on today's amazingness. My mom was less stoked as she's been at home w/o power since early Sun. on Whidbey

Had a killer day at White Pass yesterday. Up to 15" fresh in spots and almost no crowds. Really digging my new Goats. Stormy off and on. Only hit crust underneath a couple times and skied fresh tracks pretty much all day.

Hogsback is the beginning of many pilgrims' journey to the back side.

Damn. Figured it had to be a lift line. Makes me appreciate my days at WP (and its often less than thrilling terrain) a bit more!

Max face ripping pnw pow blasting paster storm skiing is THE BEST. Track filling accumulations, 3 tower visibility. Lots of faceshots in the fringes. Love the honking cascade baler storms.

WP is a fun hill and it can definitely deliver the goods if you know where to look.

No doubt. Lucky to have a friend that's skied there his whole life. We always find the goods if they're there to be had. Hard to beat on a powder day if you like trees! Pretty limited rad steeps though. Not where I'd buy a season pass if I planned to ski a bunch regardless of conditions.

Seconded. Plenty of rad if you truly know the hill. Just overrun with jerrys whining about lack of terrain and good snow while they take up space in the lodge, sideslip entire chutes, traverse all the steep trees, and generally fuck the place up.

Actually it is not adding up for me. Are you sure that is Steven’s?
