There have been houses on Gold Hills with snow cat for 30+ years.

As I understand it these new lots going for sale is related to recent change of ownership of mountain and several piece of private land that were and weren't part of that sale.

Fuck no, but it's a 100 yard run from the start to your skis. Keeps the riff raff out.

Maybe im missing something, but this has been an average to below average year. Real good later december, then warm finishing storms for 2 months till 2 weeks of snowmagedon, then typical spring skiing. Pretty much everywhere is close, but below average for the year, highway 20 has about 70% of the snow that it had last year, etc.

Hasn't been a bad year by any means, but this has probably been the worst winter since the non-winter of 14/15 AFAIK.

Good news is that winter may be over, but still have a few more months of ski season if you want it!

It was really nice to have pretty much all of Jan/Feb just consistently cold, I think crystal might've had one day of extremely nominal refreeze in those whole two months. I don't remember skiing the lower elevation stuff (like off short-north) nearly so often last season, or in nearly such good snow. So it's been a nice season for that alone, regardless of totals.

FWIW I expected rain every day, so I've been pleasantly suprised - just whisper "la nina" to yourself every morning and your expectations will hit the floor. It's like self-help, except it's the opposite of that.

Had some damn good turns at Mt. Dweebus during the first half of today. Unexpected. And fun. And I'm worked.

ID:	277509Us as well. Predictions are okay but there is nothing better than finding out for yourself that too many people live their lives based on them. Edited to add that we weren’t at Mt dweebus which I take it to Crystal. We were at our windy hill paradise.

Baker was interesting today. Half death runs of chunder and half pockets of boot deep fun.
Hoping this storm leaves some goodness for tomorrow.

Crustal is on the docket for us tomorrow.

My inertia has grown since returning. At least I got the gardens turned over and the studs swapped out.

Heard the wind blew shit everywhere, and unfortunately telemetry shows it gusting into the 60's mph tonight. Whatever. Any late season snow is a plus, maybe? I'll find out tomorrow with the kiddo.

Chair 8 was closed for the day by 1pm.
By far the biggest wind gust I've ever been on a chair for. Never wished I had a bar on a chair before that ride.
Hoping still for some decent runs tomorrow.
