I would love something super thin with a softer liner on the inside (think 3L shell with fleece in it and no insulation) I haven’t been able to find anything. Give me some advice and suggestions. I’m open to anything. As long as my palms won’t be so sweaty.

Won't stand up to a lot of abuse, but they are dextrous and small enough to tuck into any pocket.

For the OP, I have a pair of Pearl Izumi gloves that are some sort of barrier with fuzzy backing that I love. A side benefit is I can put these on when my hands are still wet from the climb up. These:

I suffer from this "problem" as well. In the Pacific North-wet I definitely wanted something that provided some waterproofness. After a couple years of trying a bunch of things (including those Dakine gloves you mentioned) I've found that Arc'teryx Alpha SL ice climbing gloves work really quite well.

Description says "highly dextrous" not dextrous as fuck , but they are pretty damn good
