    Ski photos for inspiration

    Hey everyone!
I've been pulling photos from the pages of the ski magazines lately and using them to create watercolor paintings. I was just thinking that it would be cool to ask the mags what are some of the most classic ski photos of all time? Action shots are pretty cool, but I've really been enjoying the lifestyle aspect. Obviously, if i'm inspired by one of your suggestions, I'll make sure to post the painting! I also do commission pieces if people are looking for a unique Christmas gift!
    Thanks!
    Tate

I can't find a hi-res version of this, but this is a stunner from Lee Cohen, the layers of snow in the spray may look cool in watercolor. Maybe buy his book to see a bunch of classic shots like this?

More on the retro end of things but these two images jump to mind for me.

    Dick Durance badassery is timeless.

Maybe some shots of the OG 10th Mtn Division that would look cool in watercolor?

Not really skiing, but this is such a classic Teton scene. It would be very cool to see this in watercolor.

the Upon This Rock I Build My Church photo of Coombs on the ice fall, and the edge of the world Monte Cristo shot of Mclean would both be pretty neat.

Iconic pic of Scott Schmidt. 19 years old, as yet undiscovered. Sends it at Extra Chute at Squaw. Wherever I've moved to over the years, this pic's been up on a wall since i tore it outta that O.G. Powder mag back in the day (mid/late 80's?). Thanks for the inspiration Scott.
