    I probably don't count since I don't post much (mostly read this crap when I can't sleep) but technically I'm a chick and my ex is around here sometimes...

    One of these days I'll cross paths with Danno in Boulder.

    Women post on the horse forums, trust me, some serious cat fights on the internet.

    They also constitute a really really high proportion of trail riders in my experience. Anecdotal, but it's so lopsided I can imagine that it isn't at least 65-70% of recreational trail riders in actuality.

    In other news, baby bear is one of the best people on here. KQ too. I'm glad they're here.

    My completely sexist portrait of the majority of women on the internet:

    - comprises 90% of the farmville and facebook users;
    - chronically checks insta for dog/cat pics and/or selfies of them or their friends;
    - 90% of pinterest;
    - 90% of etsy followers;
    - 90% exploited on porn sites.

    Did I miss anything?

    Edit: words with friends. 90%.
    Edit: that shuffle game, don't even know what that is, with bubbles and shit.

    I bought the Jerk seasoning and mango habanero hot sauce. Will be buying more.
    Does she live in SLC now? I hope she’s still out skiing a bunch!

    Also wish Snowsprite well wherever she is - a super nice lady who was fun to see on the hill back in my EC days.

    The other factor that might not be considered is that today social media is ubiquitous for nearly everyone and there are many more types of common interest groups out there online for things like skiing. For example today there are multiple Facebook groups for mountain biking alone in my region. ~10 years ago that was not the case, which made places like this much more unique in the internet.

    When there were real wits here, we maggettes were here, too.

    Thanks to the early days of TGR, I made lifelong friends who I look forward to seeing again this season.

    The wits are still here, just drowned out by the nitwits.

    I saw something at some point that seemed pretty definitive, but it wasn't a picture and lately I've been having doubts.

    I resemble that remark.

Even TTips, which strived to be the most inclusive women-friendly site I have ever posted at, had very few women regulars. Acting like the lack of female posters here is a direct result of the unique behavior this place, and not something more broadly demographic or societal, is naive.
    Are more men than women into skiing and particularly the kind of skiing that TGR promotes? yes. Is the lack of female posters on the TGR message boards related to this? yes. Is the lack of female posters related to the actually rather non-unique behaviour of this place? Also yes.

    The ladies forum seems alive and well.

    I take offense with that remark. It's true, but I still take offense

    The problem is the lack of Mammoth minis lately. Met some great Magettes at those back in the day. Yoga, Tracy, Spirty, asandygal, to name just a few.

    I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...
