    That was an amazing operation. Those guys were real heros. I think there was a recent remake of the story as a series, which was worth watching.

    THE HEROES OF TELEMARK

    Awesome story I remember watching those movies when getting into telemark skiing.

    Recently I meet and had dinner with a training instructor for Norwegian army survival and winter operations. He was telling me most of the Norwegians who fought in the war were outside the norm, sort of like our militias in the US. Guys who were not going to stand by and do nothing. But at the time were considered at odds with the majority, outsiders and assholes. Interesting perspective to think about. To me they are heros taking on a mission where they beat the odds to survive.

    I think that’s the same series, but it was renamed ‘The Heavy Water War”’ when I saw it.
