    Gallatin Crest

Sometimes, it's nice to just go for a long, quiet ski. This was a solo trip I took from the family cabin near West Yellowstone to Hyalite Reservoir, about 100 miles or so. I could add words, but I don't think I need to.

Holy shit! Like up Bighorn, past Mt Holmes and north from there? That's a fkn impressive route! Closest I ever came was an attempt west to east up Fan Ck, hoping to drop over to Mammoth, fucked up routefinding and dropped north in to Stelleria Ck, getting out at midnight somehow avoiding all the terrain traps.

    You did mo betta...

    W.O.W...WOW!!!!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I started pretty much in town and just skied toward the mountains, which is honestly about as good of a route as any.
Fawn/Stelleria/Fan is a great xc loop, if you can believe it!
