    Best skis 4 east coast

Hai. Wut r the best skis 4 east coast? I'm an extreme skier. Thank u.

    ------

Jk. What's up guys. Been about 5 years since I've purchased new boards. I've got the soft snow sticks covered (Rossi S3 and Armada ARG [antiques at this point]) and they run beautifully in those conditions.

What's a ski from the last 3 years or so that has a little sidecut and can run on hardpack? I'm an advanced intermediate, 150 lbs, looking for boards to run in New Hampshire and VT when it hasn't snowed in a while.

    TIA.

Is Epicski still reliable? I always had amazing results there in the past. =)

Volkl bridges are solid and fun for low tide, but might be turnier than you're looking for.

    Thanks gents.

Warms my heart that maggots are still cunts on this forum.

Radam, I don't mind turny. This is for ripping around with the kids from my school at their ski program. The S3s are fine, but something that bites into shitty EC conditions wouldn't be bad either.

Freal, 110 waist? I'm not one to second guess the power of beefy boards on hardpack -- pre-2009 Gotamas are some of my favorite sticks ever -- but would the MVP not be redundant considering I already run S3s on the regular?

I was thinking under 100mm... like, legitimately thinking some cheese-dick 85-90mm underfoot EC ice boards.

I'll look into the MVP though.

Well I thought you would throw the S3's away.

Praxis EXP then, Skied them in everything from icy moguls to 22" of fresh[go deep like old school]. After skiing so many short running length skis I like how they turn in or on anything. An unforgiving ski if your lazy.

Mid 80's, metal laminate, bit of tip rocker. All manufacturers have something in this range. They're all good.

Find something on sale. Or splurge on the red ones.

Damnit, Now I want MVPs and 85mm ice skis. I should've expected something like this would happen.

As a life long ECer, I can tell you most Praxis skis will ruin ice due to their ginsu tune. If you tossed your s3s you could replace with some Piste Jibs (just under 100mm). Its a great all rounder; super fun bump ski, decently long radius for bigger turns, easy to jump, does well in powder (up to about 6 inches) and trees. Then you still have your ARGs for big days.

If you wanted a 80-90 ski in the "free ride" area, I imagine any of the following would do the trick, (no experience, but there's lots of reviews)

Brahma, Kendo, QST 92s, Kore 93

If you legit want a carving ski, than god help you.

    ON3P Wren 88?

I ski the 2017 Wren 98s as my ec dd but there is a valid argument to go more narrow. I just disagree.

Great edge hold, damp, poppy and playful, stiff when you need it (but not too demanding) and crave speed. Def a great choice if you prefer skiing fast. @150lbs. 178cm should be plenty of ski and obey in the woods. Measure more like a 180cm+ I hear.
