Where to watch ski racing this winter

Just read this on the Skiracing.com. So no more Olympic Channel on Comcast?

    https://www.skiracing.com/stories/nb...eaming-service

anyone have other ways to stream it without having to pay $70? Just want to see if there is another option before i pay.

Funny...was searching Comcast just last night to record the Solden races this weekend and nothing popped up.

I guess you could always find it online somewhere and then AirPlay to the TV.

Check out ORF (Austrian) or SRF (Swiss) and see if you can stream their broadcasts. If not, try using a VPN (I use ExpressVPN).

My wife checked last night and I think all but 5 or 6 races will be on the Olympic Channel or one of the NBCsports channels. The $70 still sucks and last year wasn't Solden on the NBCsports? We already pay for the cycling pass on NBC. Sigh. They make you buy everything ala cart. Might as well drop cable.

That looks like a decent option...but at 9 to 13 bucks a month almost as cheap just to pay the $70? I don't think I need a VPN for any other reason? Can I stream a decent English language version for every race from Eurosport?

Yeah, Eurosport has English coverage of all of the World Cup races in Europe. I don't remember the breakdown between Eurosports 1 and 2, and if they skip any of the races in the U.S. or Canada.

The commentators are quite British. Chemmy Alcott was excellent, but they probably didn't pay her enough to keep her. If Dave Ryding does well in the first run of a slalom, they completely lose it.

I should check out free VPNs, https://www.techradar.com/vpn/the-be...rvices-of-2018.

My wife paid for the NBC sports package already and we are watching Solden replay right now. I don't understand why they can't come up with an agreement to patch through some English speaking announcers.

VPN plus Eurosport is probably the better way to go.

We paid for the Direct TV now thinking we'd get all the NBC sports.. but not the snowpass... bummer. I don't know if $70 for the year is worth it....

In The USA all of the races are on NBC, NBCSN or Olympic Channel.
The only exceptions are the 10 races in Austria, which are:
    Women's GS - Sölden
    Men's GS - Sölden
    Women's GS – Semmering
    Women’s SL – Semmering
    Women’s SL – Flachau
    Women’s DH – St. Anton
    Men’s SG – Kitzbuehel
    Men’s DH – Kitzbuehel
    Men’s SL – Kitzbuehel
    Men’s SL – Schladming
For these 10 races you need to buy a $70 NBC Sports Gold pass to watch them online.

The other 129 events will be televised.

IDK. I went to nbc.com live stream which is hooked up with a DirecTV account and watched. Hope this works for all of the Austria events.

Wonder why its just the Austrian races? ORF charging NBC too much for the feed or something?

Austria controls the TV rights of the races in their country.

CBC Sports, https://www.cbc.ca/sports, and a VPN, works pretty well for Americans. Eurosport video, on hill audio, no commentary.

The Windscribe VPN, https://windscribe.com, is free for 10GB per month.
    "Where is the company based?
The Great White North: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. That's just north of Toronto."

The free version has Canada West, and Canada East, exit points.

Also even with Brexit, the Eurosport Player has an English language choice. The subscription prices are by country, i.e. by exit point: Romania is 4.99 Euros month by month, 24.99 per year. France is 9.99 month by month, 71.88 per year. The UK is 9.99 Pounds month by month, 59.88 per year.

^^ That's more work than I'm willing to do.

That said, I couldn't find the LL races this weekend either on my NBC Sports app, but they look like they may be up now.
