Looking for some advice... I've got access to some comp tickets to RCR destinations (Fernie, Kimberley, Kicking Horse, etc) and 5 days off starting Friday. Planning on a day at Schweitzer then heading North for the weekend, any suggestions of where to head for the best conditions? Ideally, with preference given to the more camper/boondock friendly locale. Is it worth it to head all the way north to KH? Will be traveling with the wife and dog.

^^^ Agreed, I have skied about 80 of the past 90 days in and around Red and I can’t think of one bad day.

There is a lot to bitch about with RMR's location but snow consistency isn't one of them. RMR is as drought resistant as any hill in North America.
The percentage of a month with less than 30in of snow at RMR is just 2%.
For some other examples:
Kicking Horse 34%
Big White 14%
Whitewater 5%
Baker 5%
Whistler 10%
Squaw 25%
Mammoth 29%
Jackson 10%
Grand Targhee 4%
Vail 11%
A Basin 23%
Alta 3%
Snowbird 4%
Park City 15%

..... Que the lament about Revy's limited upload capacity and terrain, comparative to others on the list.... LOLZ
Not to discredit the champagne Powd-air, that we all love so much... but I have accomplished some of my biggest and most interesting ski objectives in what would otherwise be described as marginal snow conditions.
Kulharin just needs some touring gear.... I have a pair of moment night trains with dukes and skins, I would trade for a pair of mountaineering crampons and a bottle of half decent Bourbon. hit me up."Its not the arrow, its the Indian" - M.Pinto

Skied Red for the first time two weeks ago.Awesome place. Trees are epic. The 25 cm on Saturday created a feeding frenzy lineup unlike any I have seen before. Snow was awesome though. A couple of knee deep runs on Red before rolling to the trees on the other peaks. Stayed with some locals (well, two years local, but good folks) and met a bunch of the hard core old timers. Great vibe you have there.
Hit Fernie for two days this past week, not a lot, if any material, fresh. Good terrain there too. Flat light and sideways wind.
Today and tomorrow, Panorama bluebird grooomers. All good....

Tagged a big one on Saturday. Been wanting this for 7 years. Got in just in time with the warming. Way out was sketch with about 3 km of travel under pinnacle E4 which had wet slides going full path to creek.
Big day, 80km on sleds, 6km 1000m vert to top of chute. 12hrs in ski boots. Was so beat could barely ski down it.

Amazing!! Just as spectacular as I imagined in the winter.
We were actually just talking about trying to tag some of the couloirs in the pinnacle area, but it might be our for this year.
Did they fix the road in?

This is the north side. Not sure if the Bridge is fixed on South Fork. There are many ways into the range. Anything south facing is cooked big time, saturday wasn't even that warm yet but stuff was going full path on south facing stuff.
