    Wow, between this and the anti-drinking screed linked elsewhere here it seems like outside’s new brand is anti-fun.

    The commercial exploitation of surfing is gross and silly but whatever, that’s a bit much.

    What a Normie! Like anything, the jaded will throw shade.

    I'm definitely guilty of droning on about how much fun I think surfing is. I suck at it, just started, but I love it. If the eavesdropping stranger next to me at the bar doesn't want to hear it, fuck 'em.

    Like the author, I've also judged people I've never met based on their appearances, seemingly aspirational purchases, etc. - it's a pointless exercise, a thinly veiled defense of one's own sense of superiority, and a generally shitty way to go through life. Dude needs to be humbled.
