Just get a shorter stem.
For whatever it's worth, I think chainstay length matters more for ease of manualing than reach. I actually find that I have an easier time holding a manual on bikes with a longer reach - little wobbles are less likely to upset the balance point.
I'd also say that +/- 5 to 10 mm is too small of a difference to care about. 1) a 5mm change in reach is about the bare minimum that most people would even notice. 2) geo tables from a lot of companies aren't that accurate. 3) crank length, stem length, bar rise, headset spacers, etc. all affect how the reach feels, meaning a 5mm difference in the frame is pretty negligible. 4) same as #2 with respect to suspension. More or less sag will affect your reach a bit.

Probably not what you’re after with 130mm rear travel. No geo numbers released yet. Possible spring ‘19 release date. Definitely a unicorn though

rocky mountain makes great bikes you can't go wrong
I"m trying to figure out if I want the element 90 xco, it'd be a great xc bike, but moab or super knarl riding i'm not so sure
but for average xc riding it's the bomb
I've had a ton of elements over the years
have a thunderbolt that is sweet as hell
considering another thunderbolt or the altitude or the element ugh
so many choices........

Leaning towards the C-series Yeti.
I just need a $2K receipt to accidentally leave on the counter for wifey to see.

So the move is back to 29 XC bikes with slack head tubes? Fuck that. Strava kool aid nonsense. Went through that phase and broke enough 29er wheels. Just light your money on fire before you waste it on carbon wheels.
By summer 19 a few brands will have a down country bike. Get one, you'll feel 10 years younger I swear.

Looking For A Unicorn...
I don’t see in any universe that a Smuggler is “lightweight” and the SB100 isn’t much lighter. It’s all relative I guess.
It’s gonna be tough to meet all of those without either 1) accepting longer reach or 2) an angle set.
Scott Spark?
Sent from my iPad using TGR ForumsIt makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Devinci Marshall?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

I'm gonna do the Yeti, but have it painted/decal-ed to look like a Diamondback.

I'll likely be laughed out of the room for suggesting it, but what about a 27plus hardtail with 130mm up front and what now passes for "trail" geometry?

Life is too short for hardtails.

That Marshall is kind of intriguing, close to identical to the sb100 aside from slightly longer reach. I would like to demo one. That could save a lot of coin.
The 7 pound frame is a little portly, though.Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident

Just saw that the Tallboy might fit the bill...good geo, 430 reach, hta is a little steep, but I could (like others) run a longer fork or works headset.

I like the specs on the niner, but good god, the rocker arm looks like something out of 1998. Spindly.
The reach might even be a little short!
The specs say the STA is 74, I would like to see a little steeper than that...it looks slack.
I though niner was kinda...dead?

Turner Czar? 68.2° HTA with 100mm so ~67° with 120mm up front. Turner typically puts their bikes on sale for Black Friday.

Question is static angles or loaded? Lol
All these numbers remind me that MTBR may be dead but it is still alive here.

99% sure I am getting the Yeti...but this one is intriguing for those of you somewhere else on the planet.
