Beastly closeout to the season. Hanging with old friends and making new ones. Love the springtime tailgating vibe. Thanks to all that made the party happen. Thank you for the Freeride Systems hoodie. See you all on the other side of warm.

Buttah didn't see the guy until he was past him and he obviously passed him pretty damn close. Then proceeds to ride his tails and eat shit. If the guy had ripped the line, I think I still would have been a little like wtf, but since he was such a cod and sucks at skiing he deserved to be given shit. That's fucking dangerous.

Right! Although, it was the person following Buttah that he cut off that probably should have said something. The dude (according to FB) only managed 5 runs and this was his tired 5th. Wtf, you ski all season, how much of a beater must you be to only manage five 1,000 foot runs? Shit, Friday I was battling pneumonia (diagnosed yesterday) and allergies, and still did 21.

That fucking clown couldn’t buy a turn, it was scary as fuck watching him tail gun right at people. He was blowing up every run. That was the second time he buzzed me. What people don’t realize is the top section was exposed ledge and loose boulders. I was doing what most folks were doing, getting off the headwall safely and then ripping the rest. Fucking dork in cat pajamas. Next time there won’t be any talking. The best part is, the worst skiers in the east calling me a Jerry. It’s fucking gold.

I'm firmly in Buttah's camp on this one. Have seen other vids of this kid skiing and he's an absolute knucklehead. And to see the twins coming to his defense is utter hilarity. They are the worst skiers on the Facebooks. Their vids are comedy gold.

I was skiing with Buttah when this happened. Catjama was reckless straightening the rock strewn headwall with so many people, including me, sidestepping down and traversing to avoid wrecking on the rocks.

That's interesting. First comment on Facebook is from the Hammer. Is Eric part of the Ski the East crew?

Second the above comments. Saw the k00k a couple of times this winter (he was either in the act of falling, or getting up after falling, naturally) - total beater and I'm surprised he hasn't injured anyone. One day at jay we watched him fucking launch off a bump, completely in the backseat and he landed flat on his back, almost taking out someone. It certainly didn't seem to knock any sense into him, evidenced by his shitty "skiing" all the way to the end of the season.
Best you can do is shake your head in disgust and leave a wide berth to avoid injury.

To get called a herb in the comments by The Hammer is really a badge of honor. Take a bow Buttah. You did nothing wrong but watching that clip reinforces why I make a practice to turn towards the outside when clearing that bottleneck. There are small items can that improve your survival here. Put that one in the bank and move on.

one thing i'm glad we didn't witness this end-of-season is the freefalling big rocks/mini boulders of past years. i remember seeing 10-pounders come loose and go bouncing over the rollover a few springs back and shouting loud for folks to look out! scary shit.

never saw catjama guy but during memorial day w/e there were a bunch of OOC novices - one almost took me out while i was catching a breather at top of mid. he was then breathing heavy in my ear so i said 'go for it' ... i thought he had somewhere to be but was lost and looked ready to crash into an unsuspecting skier.

anyway, what a fkg blast this spring was!
great seeing the usual cast of great characters on the hill and on the road - including a bunch of folks i hadn't seen in years (talking to you fussyD, earlyW/train..and non-mag JR too - sorry we didn't cross paths powbmps - it's been a few years) and meeting lots of good new folks.
amazing to be able to all go back to our lives during the May midweeks - and then reconvene each w/e without missing a festive beat.
