    Great pics!

I did the same thing couple weeks ago, but thankfully my bud was behind me wondering what was sliding down the snow. Amazing how dependent we've become with these things

Apparently you have never skied the Voter on a crowded weekend or tangled with the MEREDEATH after an ice storm.

Glad y'all like the pics! Got giddy when I was hiking up Right Gully, turned around, and saw a few skiers coming over the headwall. Been enjoying the shooting as much as the riding lately... or at least when I ride like garbage I feel I got something cool done .

    Lessons learned though:
    1) Buy shittier phone for inevitable case of loss
    2) When skiing, place phone in backpack -- take pics with your damn camera instead!

I bought a pack of Snow Lizard Tek Tabs a few years ago. I attach them to a case that I specifically use for skiing. I use a lanyard between the tab and my internal jacket pocket zipper.

    Note: these have been discontinued

Was this shot taken with the telephoto that comes with the kit you linked to?

Shooting pics is like fishing. When you reel in a big one, it's as good as skiing pow.

Great stoke, for sure. Thanks for the phone sacrifice WDG... and the reminder. I just dug out and recharged my "old" Sony RX-100 for use.

As Goniff said, the hunt for good soup pics is almost as fun as eating it. Hopefully will get something worthy of posting soon.

It was! My short lens is broken right now (there's a plastic piece in it with little tabs that are known to break off after a few years of rough use... thankfully a replacement part is only $6, now I just gotta take the damn thing apart), so I've only had the telephoto for the past two weeks. It shoots great pics, I need to use it more. Link to it here for interested . Thing takes damn good photos for $150!

Glad y'all are enjoying them. It's been fun to come back East and see the terrain & and skiing here, and just the mountains in general, in a very different way after all the years out West.

Yup! Center Headwall. Some of the steepest pitches on the mountain.

Wild weather last night. Could barely see driving back up 89 out of Burlington. Did a little slow motion spin out on 2 (thankfully with no traffic around) into the guardrail... that wet snow on a layer of water and warm pavement was slick as hell. All good, rolled away no problem thankfully.
