Crazy winds on Cape Cod. No power for 14 hours, still out. Schools and work closed. House is shaking.

    NE Roll Call 18/19

2 areas of fencing destroyed at my place in the shadow of Logan. One downed by a big tree. Hearing it’s definitely worse on the South Shore, the whole area is basically closed for business. Good luck JH

I’m getting ahead of the huge crowds headed up to Ullrfest ‘19 in Northern Maine... dumping on top of Katahdin I’m certain. It’s already working!

Saw this on the book and wondered what type of mental disorder would cause someone to do this?

Put snow tires on the car yesterday. Ullrfest has happened. Kooks have slid on mostly white substance. Time for a new thread. Take it away Vt-freeheel

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

I can't believe I'm asking this but since I'm going to be a weekend warrior for the first time in 20 years....

Has anyone joined the Bolton Valley Sports Center? For an extra $50 on top of the nordic season pass they throw in a membership (normally $125). I'd likely just use it to hot tub after some kick and glide or skiing the BC trees, but if there's more I should know this is the collective to ask.

I mean, this looks like a decent enough place to change boots, dry off, have a beer, etc.

With kids yes, without kids, meh. It really depends on how much you like stewing in an older albeit clean pool/hot tub. With kids we were in there maybe 50% of ski days, without kids never. The bar is nice, but the conversations are better at the tavern.
