Up high it’s hard to feel the crust, low down, low angle you can feel it grab and collapse. Beware of river beds, things blew out and death chunks may block your exit or bonk you into 5 foot cold holes.

Crusty but still fun city laps today after my dental app [emoji38]

Stopped snowing between 11 and 4 but back on now, although the weather warning for the MTL has been lifted.

Crazy windy on the dark side indeed but the most important lift was still spinning so much fun was had. Bunny must have been on Spruce thus, they shut it down. Too bad we couldn't meet you guys for a lap or 2, next time. I'll be in your hood tomorrow if you are around?

No time to check the weather, too busy harvesting. No pics today, got a late start but damn it's good right now. Seeing some potential trouble on the horizon so get out this week if you can.

Nice Boreas. The crust is still there (mostly buried away from wind affected spots) but I've found it to be supportable almost everywhere but drainage areas/streams like you said, still not quite locked up anywhere water flowed from last week's pissing. Checked on a drainage spot yesterday but low confidence kept me from dropping in.

Great day with VT-F at $teaux today. Was incredulous when FD called and said Smuggs was on windhold. Virtually no breeze on the other side of the notch. Really was looking forward to popping my Notch cherry today but twas not to be. Trees at $teaux were $$$ today. Sorry, no pics. Frost Jr. IPA for lunch at the Manny base was a nice find.

No avy expert but new snow with significant windloading after the storm on top of a pretty firm crust should create some pretty sketch conditions in the steep BC.

It is even going off in the northwestnortheast of Ontario right now. Being on the injury list, I have to take some pleasure in posting friend's stoke from today. Sharp eyes will note the 90s vintage metalflake whitewater helmet adorning the noggin of our spiritual leader:

    Different zone, also today:

For those that know the area, the first image is in Muskoka, the video is from the Haliburton area.

Stratton skied great today and another 8-10" should put it in the money. Great base is intact and trees will be good to go, too. No one there today and a fresh 4-5" made for some fun high speed soft turns. Wish I could ski tomorrow, but was still happy with today.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Depending on the map you're looking at, it could just be that some of those inches the NWS was showing earlier are on the ground at this point. The system hit VT early today, anyway.

    Nice ^^

Vailmont™ was fun today rocking around with MNIAW. A lot more base than central VT in the forest and on the trails. Butter cream Perry Merrill GS cruising had me worried about frostbite.
Curse of teh Bunnie meant Sensation was down so we missed the Fussy Notch laps. Mansfield base as cool as ever and some Alchemist time with MNIAW and my friend A** on her way back to MTL and Piecasso dinner equaled a great day.
Snowing very lightly bob, around 1 1/4" since 6.

Holy Moley the skiing is good.

Fun day with some buds at MRG. We were Pleasantly surpised by the conditions in the woods, and you can't beat $3.50! Thanks MRG!

Had to go back for night rips and someone left the lights on. 5 to 8 cm of city fluff rode nicely.

Calling the results 7-9" for Nrthfld, Vt. Looks like Snowbowl north is getting a bit of the ol' wrap-around. 12:30 opening for NES today.

Still slowly accumulating here. Could end up close to 10" if it fires up again this afternoon. Our little bump is as good as it gets right now. It's rare to ski below 2000 ft and be able to charge the steeps. Skiing is fun.
    BYBC FTW.
