Just put on your padded race shorts, your helmet with the face guard, and throw your ski bag contents all over a table in the lodge but never sit there. You’ll fit right in.

^^^ That sounds like the bush north lodge.

For sure the linesmen are looking at another round of outages. Led lights charged and ready.

Sigh, indeed. All that matters is a designated friend with a generator at 4:25 tomorrow for Tom Terrific vs. the Purple People Eaters.

3 pow days in a row here, 3 days without power, no complaints here...though maybe I shouldn't have left the generator on a semi remote jobsite. (cuz I'm hearing about it..:-)

BM, I DO remember now BigD being there that day in the past yes!... pre-soup mania...very funny about the loud speaker BigD...we should all travel with a loud speaker in our pocket now..just in case.
and thanks for taking the trip..it paid off well..
I'm always happy to take one for the team... especially when this is the consolation prize:

Glad to see the winter get an early start, too. And as far as loud speakers, I think I have a "Mr. Microphone" in my box of 80's memorabilia somewhere??? "Hey good look'n!... whatcha do'n later?!"

Cannon was definitely good. Low hangin' fruit!
Went straight and sidewaze today. I definitely should have done more squats...or at least one preseason.

Semi-OT and some of you already know this, but if you see racers being asshats in the lodge, please take note of the team and description (don't worry, they'll have plenty of logoed wear) and look for a coach to advise. As one of those coaches, it's a constant struggle to get them to be mindful of the other people on the planet--and most aren't bad, but, well, they are teenagers--and I'd much rather catch and correct asshattery at the earliest possible opportunity. If I see it, I'll address it (and to some degree, I don't really give a damn if it's one from my team or not), but at the teenage level, we have to leave them to their own devices for a good chunk of the day while we deal with coach's meetings, setting, etc., and a heads up and opportunity to correct behavior before the asshattery reaches "calls from the mountain managers" level is much appreciated.

More on topic, the snow seems to be holding up pretty damn well at Sunday River, but I probably won't have a chance until Tuesday to get away from the race hill and find out for sure.

The Bottlewoman is flattered but she sez “knuckledraggers aren’t my type.”

Hope to get out with you soon FD. You need to make the trek South when the tide rises again.

Can't blame her there, we are a generally recalcitrant bunch.

I still have the 2 comp passes from last year, guess I need to see if they have an expiration date.

Glad I got out yesterday with the kids. And all week with the powder.

Good day to wax up some skis, let the legs recover, watch the pats and have a few brews...

The hike to Castlerock was fun with February conditions and a deep base. Middle Earth had a wind crust and didn’t ski like I was hoping for Rumble was more protected and had better snow but the best runs were off the traverse where untouched goodness and soft deep snow made it a great two daysClick image for larger version.
