Contemplating bring my rack up to climb. Have a sport rack and some trad pieces. Know nothing of the Maine climbing scene. Lead 5.8 sport. Also don't mind being belay bitch. Trying to get back into teh climbing game.
    Any takers?

i don’t think you’ll find many other bolts. otter cliffs look sweet for trad and tr tho.

Not much rock that I know of around Bigelow for trad or sport, there are some boulders but I’ve never climbed them. Closer to Weld is Tumbledown that has a few sweet multi pitch trad lines in a very enjoyable setting. The AMC route goes about 5.6 and is a fun way to the summit. Shag, IIRC, has 1 or maybe 0 routes in the 5.8 range, but things may have changed. Clifton, Acadia, Camden, have numerous lines in that range but are a fairly far drive from Bigelow.

I live in Acadia and here's a climbing resource page to get you started if you come down this way. Good climbing, great views.

Awesome time after biking at K. Killington slays the mtb scene, must have been 500 bikers there with a half hour Ramshead LL.

Band was a fun listen, heard a bunch of people say Hayley reminded them of Janis.

Hiking views not to shabby either. Saw many bolts in the rock while walking along this escarpment.

I have two pairs of those snowshoes, made by Snocraft in Maine but same style. Bought for $25 a pair for a surplus store about 20 years ago, got the same 10th Mtn story. I use them regularly, they are the full rocker ski of of the slowshoe world.
