I know very little about skiing but Tomba got after it like few every have, on the course and in life.

He was definitely a woman on both arms kind of ski-celeb. I seem to remember he was a 2 pack of Marlboro Reds a day smoker while he crushed slalom after slalom. I do not believe he aged well...

At a press conference he was asked about his partying and said something along the lines of, I'm getting older so I've gone from 5 women until 5am to only 3 until 3am. When asked by the reporter if he was serious he said, "do I look like I am joking."

Hope everyone gets power, heat and water working. Suffered through those before. I have been nervous with all of the wind today, maybe the other windstorms have cleared the possible blowdowns out for the season.

So you can get Smuggs tix on a holiday weekend for $25? Doubt it. Some of us have connections and can pull that off but no fucking way you do. BTW, Magic sold all 1,500 tickets by 10:30am. Douche.Bag.

Jesus Benny... everyone is just sick of you dissing on Magic even though you've never been. If you actually went, you would find one of the most welcoming and fun places to ski in New England. I'm willing to bet, someone would even buy you a beer?!

Magic with some fresh snow is like no other place in VT... tons of great runs, glades, and maggots all over the place. Yes, it's had it's share of struggles in the past, but many people are working extremely hard, putting a lot of heart and soul to making it what it is today. Even if you were there (which was probably as a child in the 60's/70's?), you'd see some amazing improvements just over the last two years. If you like Smuggs, you'll love Magic.

Sounds like the snow tire discussion is going on at Jiminy Peak?
And in Jiminy's defense, this was posted by the manager of John Harvard's Brewery, not the mountain:

Yes to all, but you forgot to include, "rode a motorcycle all winter to work... to frame houses with fingers cut off of gloves because it was before nail guns were invented."

Hey, I never really knocked Magic, per se, I've just tried to slice through the layers of child like devotion that place gets from some lost souls, starting with that 3000 dollar t shirt scam a while back. That was pretty stupid. But this is even more ridiculous. "Name names". Like there's some sort of log I have to sign before I get on one of those crappy lifts? Hey everybody, it's Benny! I'm here! Fuck.

    Great weekend
Sat and Sunday both fun days skiing with friends at the K longest line was the new 6 bubble chair it was 10 minutes and l would rather sit on an open chair, its not for me.
Sunday 6:00 am I’m shoveling my friends deck In Plymouth, it was 18 inches of the the lightest powder hit bear early and got a few soft turns before the grapple. It didn’t last long but definitely made you tighten up your sphincter mussels to rip the crud. The CQ4 chair was excellent so many great stashes to bake your legs. Also a small duck under the ropes by the new chair that wasn’t open yet that leads you back to bear was almost untracked at the end of a great day.
Monday up at 6:00 again to ski the Rasta trails at Brandon Gap. I don’t have any partners who like to hike for turns and I am always solo so I actually liked meeting up with strangers along the way. The few people I met where very nice even to a big city douche like me. I definitely will return.
    Great weekend thanks Vermont

Too be perfectly honest, I much preferred Magic back in the early part of this century. A place no one went to except for local ski bums, and we only went for the powder days. And you could ski on the lift and never have to go into the woods to find untracked pow. Glad and sad at the same time to see what’s happened there. Place has become too popular with the gnarbros and hoes on fat skis. Waiting a half hour to get on a lift that takes 12 minutes to cover 1500 vert, I’m not good with that. I wish it was ‘06 again!

Great storm. Our little bump ended up basically bulls eye for this one. Learned a while back, never chase a forecast. They are almost always wrong on snow totals. We got slabbed pretty good and my kids been jumping off all the roofs. Fun times when your 8.

there will still be midweek storms and very low crowds....it's a catch 22.... Magic would be dead if it weren't for the hype driven here back in the day

Yup. Empty lift all day. Showed up to 14" and got another 8". The lowest hanging fruit in the State.
Be a lifty in the morning, ski for free in the afternoon. So much win at the tiny bumps.

No wonder you can’t turn a ski on anything steeper than my front steps. It all makes sense now.
