Favorite moment of the weekend: I claimed to a crowd the S6 bar as the best on mtn apre in VT, and immediately caught ass-whup stares from the BLT faithful. My bad folks. BLT for ever. Viva la Superstar!

I am done with the NE for the season. Slapped some storage wax on the Enforcers and put them away. I’m going to go to Shasta weekend before Memorial Day for my last ditch effort for some summer snow!

Love that DD shot, one of the best lines for spicy skiing.

Too bad about the dropping cloud layer yesterday. Good fun to get back to the spring scene again. Between the group of Mags and Mrs. G's K-Zone crowd celebrating Guy in shorts birthday fun was had.

Damn, I skied with GIS until ~ 11 and then he went in for some partaying. I had a long ride home so could not partake, but saw the gang on my way out of the lot. I would've stopped in to say hi if I'd known.

    NE Roll Call 18/19

It didn't stay full bluebird, but temps were comfy and the top layer of snow was nicely cooked corn.

As much as I wanted to keep going, I knew that downhiking kicks my ass, and the Sherbie closure currently dumps onto the TRT above the second bridge. I think I'll be waiting until I can slack my way up before heading back over. TRT is skinnable well below that, which makes the downhiking even more fun.

Many thanks on the hiking boot call, getting to snow in my Langes would have sucked.Attachment 281455Attachment 281456Attachment 281457

Nice! Awesome photo. Word was that Dodge’s was prime. Do you think it will still be in for Wednesday or Thursday? Wish I went for it yesterday.. if you think so, may I PM you for some quick beta?

Hillmans was fun, great corn, Italian ice. Not bumped up at all.Click image for larger version.

I was at the top safety cache getting ready to walk down the little headwall part and someone asked me to tell patrol that someone was injured. I walked down and told the volunteer on the deck at Hojos and he got on his radio and they all ran up there. I was just wondering what happened.

I'd expect it to still be skiable Wednesday or Thursday, especially from the looker's-right entrances. It is getting a bit narrow in places, and the combination of sustained pitch (even if not particularly steep beyond the entry) and lack of escape options had me skiing it pretty cautiously. Feel free to PM, I'm happy to answer what I can.

More info on meet up location, etc. to come.

Friday and Sunday for me I'm afraid. But I'll play like a champion both days coach, I promise.

Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but it appears to me that the $20 deal is on Friday, not Saturday. Online price for Saturday is listed at $55.

Dammit to hell. There was talk about it last weekend and since they announced they were going to be closed 'mid week' I hadn't even double checked the date.

Yes! Great folks and everything they make is good. Expanding the cafe this summer. I may or may not have bought 100 cupcakes from them in October... and eaten ~40 of them...
