How far up the TRT do you have to get to start skinning? I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch to hiking boots for the down hike below the Sherbie closure, wondering if it's worth carrying ski boots up until I get to snow versus just walking in them from the parking lot.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for K tomorrow.
Didn't look for eggs today, but this cooler was stocked at the 'dise.
Did get an Ephraim at the Penny tonight
After meeting a CL seller in front of the Statehouse to pick up this sweet welder and a 95% full can of dry rod for a hundo. Building a gimp cage for Ullrfest, watch how much you drink!

my back is still fckd ...maybe a trip up just for the beer (s)
Luving the fact that superstar is still so phat..hope to get it before it's gone...
and now I can stop asking every hairy boarder dude if he's biggins...maybe change for a nickel would have worked better but no less strange
Bring that welder and a generator..nothing goes better than beer and welding parked cars together an shit..If it weren't for serendipity, there'd be no dipity at all

Nice little mini at K today. Myself, MNIAW, Buttah, Biggins, Buckethead, VT-F, Mrs. G, and this one's for Goniff (choose your breakfast wisely, my friend).
Stick with a proven winner like VGP bonbons.Last edited by Peruvian; 05-05-2019 at 01:57 PM.

Good day on the Rockpile today. The little bit of low cloud hanging out near the top of the ravine burnt off by the time I was halfway up Hillman's, and my schedule and mountain conditions finally aligned for a Dodge's run. It didn't stay full bluebird, but temps were comfy and the top layer of snow was nicely cooked corn.
As much as I wanted to keep going, I knew that downhiking kicks my ass, and the Sherbie closure currently dumps onto the TRT above the second bridge. I think I'll be waiting until I can slack my way up before heading back over. TRT is skinnable well below that, which makes the downhiking even more fun.
Many thanks on the hiking boot call, getting to snow in my Langes would have sucked.
