Found a little solitude, but the snow was too deep to turn.

Steeps were amazing, hope tomorrow am is as soft.

Shit show at the bush today. Yesterday was much better.

People need to learn to pretend to have seen snow before. Felt like KT on a powder day for much worse terrain.

Saw cigar smoking mag guy yesterday taking a selfie after close. Almost asked for change. Figured I'd keep my nickel instead.

Met up with some friends at Stowe and took advantage of the wind holds with a few untracked laps on the Gondi side. The stoke was high and my legs are cooked.

No lines at Brandon's Gap over in Maine. Once again, huge thanks to Peruvian for his patience as I dragged my old ass up mountains to ski down in untracked. It may have only been about 12" but it sure skied sweet.

Pro Tip: When in Brandon (Maine of course) got to Foley Brothers if you must but Red Clover Ale Company right in town kicks ass.

    NE Roll Call 18/19

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

When we showed up at Bear Brook, there was a skin track set to the top. We got up and a group of 8-9 were ripping skins. We were a little quicker so we asked some RASTA elders that were leading the group if they minded if we took dibs. They approved and we got fresh tracks down. They even handed out stickers when we ran into them at the bottom of the run!

Grins all around and <10 minute liftline between 10:00-11:00. The rest of the day was sub-3 minutes.

Was on one of the first couple chairs to load at Stowe this AM and hit the boot pack train up the hill. Some real fun turns. Got in two of those and one other lap off the chair before calling it with the line absurdity.

Heard they spun the quad around 2 but I was well into some beers by then. Click image for larger version.

Sunday River didn't suck today, either. There were lift lines, and plenty of breeze to go around, but between being aggressive in spinning what they could when they could and allowing hiking to what they couldn't, there were some rather nice turns to be had. Hollywood was the run of the day for me; we were a bit surprised to see a mob scene on Agony and no tracks into the woods shortly after the quad opened, but hey, we'll take it.

Still breezy in town tonight, hoping it dies down for tomorrow.

About 15" at Belleayre in the catskills. No lines. Very empty. Had third or fourth tracks on the first 4 runs. Hiked to Cath. Brook and probably 1st of ten tracks there. The gondi was on hold till about 11, so when that opened, we had first of 20 tracks again on Dot Nebel. Great day. Deep drifts on in the moguls on some of the front trails.

...and my contribution from Taos last week. Just missed the optimal trunk/skier alignment, but not bad nonetheless.
