Week 5 at K. Great start to the season. Good skiing with biggins and MNIAW.

^Honky Red rocks. Glad we've got the tunes dialed in for the season in the thread.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

    ^^ One can hope.

Nice that we're actually getting some base building material for once early in the season.

That might work for beaters like you but for those of us skiing at the Mighty, Mighty (the steepest skiing in the East) these early season snows can lead to persistent weak layers.

Whippet and beacon mandatory or just recommended?

Metal bladed shovel recommended as those croutons can require additional heft.

Mandatory. Recommended equipment includes an extra pair of underwear lest one shit him or her self. Yup, it's that hairy.

Too steep, deep, and unpredictable at the Mighty. You have to go way old school to survive and ski with 500ft of rope tied to one leg.

No reason it can't be both!!!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Driving was an adventure. Saw a large plow that misjudged the shoulder at an intersection and slid off.

Flat lander heading up from the land of cube jockeys and bulge bracketers with a post work event Thursday night drive. Looking to leave by 7-8 and targeting somewhere in south Burlington for a cold sleep in the car.

Hopefully the corporate overloads are kind with the koozies and breakfast burritos again.

Ssshhh, the ground isn't frozen and if you speak too loud you'll scare the base away.

After your text today I mulled it over [seeing the Thursday/night forecast didn't hurt] and no desire to start my season with the AZ Sat. bush crowd [don't think they'll be t2b based on what is done and past perfomance] might join you Friday and work all weekend. Have a float day worked in, so I should use it.

Why is the Jong sleeping in his car in S B-Town? Looking to hit the Hill Section early?

Cat, what was the coverage? Have seen two VTrans trucks off on the West side of AppGap over the years. My Grandpa worked for VTrans and did 108 in the early 70's, plenty of funny stories to share, he had.

Could someone sleep in the lot at steaux? If not, what's a nearby alternative? Asking for a friend's cousin's former roommate.

Sent from a friggin hundert foot cliff!
    I <heart> hot tele-moms
