Groomers at Slokemo were insanely fun today. Y'all can bust on that place all you want but they groom that shit to perfection. Pretty amazing turnaround from Sunday. In other news, this might be the first time I've gotten to 20 days this early since College and that was a looooooong time ago;0

Cool story about Jersey Pete, even though he owns a '95 Range Rover. Some will still react to him like a "dick".

DVT...the rapid named Sierra! Would luv to see you pull that boof again in the "Embludo". Unfortunately that creek is No Bueno at the current moment, enough wood in there to build a nice sized barn. I could rally for some stupid time on the water Saturday though. We may be sharing the river with death-star sized ice chunks upping the ante.

12-20-2018, 11:34 AM #1290Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

At 10:45 the snow at the Sun Mtn. was firm, by 11am the top two inches became whipped cream, and by 1:30 it was mid-March spring corn. Views of Mt. Washington from the summit were crystal clear but there was a lot of haze rolling into the Taconics and ADKs. Did you catch the washboard clouds off to the north west at around noon?

After much hullaballoo over the first week here, meeting family and exploring the NE, I finally managed to get some sunny turns in at Bolton Valley. The GF grew up skiing here, and with some refreshments I was happily turning the afternoon away.
New England is a very special place, and I'm humbled to be shown around the states of VT, NH, and ME.
Will be at Smuggs tomorrow checking things out. Will be with the fam, but if you happen to spy someone with a brown jacket, blue pants, and a black helmet with red goggle strap, i could be down for a lap.
Cheers all.
